AFPHA is a coalition dedicated to transforming the future of Afro-descended peoples, through the professional development, voices, and tangible actions of it’s women.
We are not neutral, and we are not naïve. We reject that which breeds racism, tribalism, exploitation, and stagnation; and align with those who are committed to justice, measurable progress, collective well-being, and dignity of our people and communities.

WHAT WE DO FOR OTHERS
AFPHA sponsors elementary students; hosts annual art, writing, and technology competitions; donates clothes, food and medical supplies; and lends our various professional and personal skills to communities in need.
We also engage in public advocacy and independent journalism, challenging systems and amplifying issues; large and small, that are often ignored or distorted in mainstream coverage of Africa and Black Diaspora.

As a member of AFPHA, you join a global network of professional and aspiring women and girls who want their efforts to matter – professionally and collectively. We host bi-annual gatherings—one in Africa and one abroad—to connect, learn, and collaborate. Our mentorship program can pair you with leaders in your field, our research arm facilitates international projects with like-minded experts, and we further offer internship and early-career opportunities.
